Projects

Welcome to my project page, where I showcase the projects and assignments I’ve had the privilege of working on.

I’ve had the opportunity to capture diverse landscapes and moments across Europe, from the rugged terrains of Sweden and Norway to the serene beauty of Wales and the Netherlands. My work spans a wide variety of locations, each offering its unique challenges and inspirations.

I specialize in outdoor photography, which I like to refer to as “adventure photography.” My approach combines a deep focus on both the environment and the subject, capturing the connection between them. Whether it’s the vast, untamed landscapes or the intimate portrayal of individuals in the wild, I aim to tell stories that resonate with the spirit of adventure and exploration.

Artic triple

Embarking on an Arctic ski mountaineering trip offers an unparalleled experience, combining the thrill of skiing with the challenge of navigating through some of the most remote and stunning landscapes in the world. In the Arctic, the frozen wilderness provides a pristine environment for those seeking both adventure and solitude. Whether conquering rugged mountain peaks, crossing glaciers, or descending untouched powder slopes, every moment is a testament to the beauty and power of nature. It’s an adventure that pushes both physical and mental limits, rewarding participants with incredible views and a deep connection to the raw, untamed terrain.

Photographing in the Arctic is an extraordinary challenge and a true test of both technical skills and adaptability. The harsh, cold conditions and ever-changing light create unique opportunities to capture the raw beauty of the environment.

The goal of this photography was to document not just the grandeur of the landscapes, but also the spirit of adventure and the resilience of those navigating this extreme terrain. From the sharp contrasts of the icy peaks to the serene, wide-open spaces, each shot aimed to tell a story of exploration and the awe-inspiring power of nature. Every image reflects the stark beauty of the Arctic, showcasing both the immense challenges and the rewards of capturing such an unforgiving landscape.

Lofoten auto

Driving through the Lofoten Islands in northern Norway, I photographed the electric Ford Mustang in one of the most beautiful and icy places on Earth. Surrounded by snowy mountains, frozen fjords, and dramatic skies, the goal was to prove that this car could do everything a regular car can and even more, despite being electric. The client specifically requested shots of the Mustang in action, driving through the rugged terrain, and we were able to deliver exactly that. The image above proved to be exactly as the client wanted!

The challenge was to demonstrate the Mustang’s ability to combine power, smart technology, and eco-friendliness. The fact that it’s electric doesn’t just make it better for the environment, it also works exceptionally well in freezing cold weather. The car handled slippery, icy roads with ease, proving that electric vehicles can perform just as well as traditional cars, even under tough conditions. This shoot showed that electric cars are not only practical but also stylish, reliable, and capable of delivering an extra edge in performance.

This project wasn’t just about taking pictures of a car. It was about capturing a story of advanced technology meeting the wild beauty of nature. The Mustang’s sleek shape reflected the Arctic light, emphasizing its modern design against the rugged landscape. Whether it was the glow of the headlights cutting through the frosty air or the way snow and shadows danced across its surface, every shot highlighted the car’s innovation and ability to thrive in extreme environments.

AOF & Celtic mountain guides

Partnering with AOF and Celtic Mountain Guides in Wales was an incredible opportunity to delve into the world of climbing and hiking, capturing the essence of their daily activities and the services they provide to clients. Situated amidst the rugged beauty of the Welsh mountains, this project focused on portraying the skill, dedication, and passion that define their work as mountain guides and climbing instructors.

The goal of this photography project was to highlight not only the technical expertise required for guiding and instructing but also the unique experiences they offer to adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts. From scaling challenging rock faces to traversing scenic hiking trails, every image sought to convey the dynamic energy and sense of accomplishment that comes with exploring the great outdoors under their guidance.

During this project, I aimed to document the complex interaction between human determination and the striking natural landscapes of Wales. The photographs showcase the thrill of climbing, the camaraderie of teamwork, and the serene beauty of the environment. This project celebrates both the adventurous spirit of AOF and Celtic Mountain Guides and the stunning Welsh terrain that serves as their ever-changing backdrop.

Veluwe actief

The Veluwe’s vast trails set the stage for a project that went beyond just bikes, it was about the shared joy of adventure. With my camera in hand and a passion for the outdoors, I immersed myself in the experience of mountainbiking through this stunning landscape, capturing the essence of both the bikes and the environment.

The focus was on showcasing the bikes’ resilience and performance across the rugged forest paths and challenging sandy tracks, while also emphasizing the beauty of the surroundings. But what stood out most was the sense of freedom and connection with nature that came from riding here. From action shots of the bikes navigating winding trails to peaceful moments of riders soaking in the lush surroundings, each photo told a story of exploration and enjoyment.

What truly made the shoot special, though, was the atmosphere. The soft light filtering through the trees, the sound of tires crunching over gravel, and the panoramic views came together to create a vivid portrayal of what it’s like to experience this place. It wasn’t just about capturing bikes in action; it was about documenting the incredible memories made in such a beautiful, welcoming setting. The the simple joy of being out in nature made the whole experience memorable in ways that went far beyond the photos themselves.
